Denis Sablukov is an expert in bankruptcy and asset protection recognized by Russian ratings.

Denis specializes in support of commercial and insolvency (bankruptcy) disputes. Denis has in-depth knowledge of bankruptcy regulation and experience in handling complex situations, including challenging and defending transactions, disputes related to asset foreclosure, disputes on bringing the debtor's controlling persons to subsidiary liability and recovery of damages.

Denis participates in the law-making process, including the development of amendments to the Federal Law “On Bankruptcy” (out-of-court procedures for individuals).

He is a candidate of legal sciences, a member of the Expert Council for the Development of Competition in Bankruptcy at the State Duma of the Russian Federation and an author of scientific articles of the Higher Attestation Commission.

Projects
  • Successful defense of the sole shareholder and CEO in a dispute on bringing to subsidiary liability. It was possible to prove the absence of a tort and to obtain a refusal to bring the case for 10.5 billion rubles, as well as to bring the ultimate beneficial owners to liability.
  • Defense of a major Russian bank in a dispute over the resolution of disagreements over a pledge claim for 5.5 billion rubles. It was possible to establish the creditor's pledge status and approve the Regulations on Sale of Property by Single Lot.
  • Support of several separate disputes on recovery of damages and challenging transactions in a bankruptcy case of a construction company for a total amount of 1.5 billion rubles. It was possible to prove that there was no intent to harm creditors in making the transaction and that there was no causal link between the client's actions and damage to the legal entity.
  • Leading a working group in supporting bankruptcy proceedings of major developers in Moscow and St. Petersburg, a large reinforced concrete construction plant, a waste recycling plant, and automobile centers in major regions of the Russian Federation. The team managed to return more than 13 billion rubles to the bankruptcy estate.
  • Successful reversal of a court decision to challenge a contractor agreement with a general contractor for the construction of Moscow Metro stations, proving the reality of fulfillment of obligations in the amount of more than 150 million rubles. We represented a key subcontractor in the construction of new Moscow Metro stations.
  • Successful defense of a minority shareholder and financial director of a major construction company in a dispute on bringing to subsidiary liability for more than 850 million rubles.
  • Successful defense against challenging transactions and bringing to subsidiary liability in connection with losses caused by a fire. It was proved that the transactions were made in the ordinary course of business and that there was no loss-making nature of the transactions, which resulted in the refusal to bring to subsidiary liability for 920 million rubles. We defended a leading engineering company specializing in the design and construction of industrial facilities, hospitals and pharmaceutical plants in Russia, performing turnkey work in accordance with Russian and European standards (GMP, FDA, WHO, ISO).
  • Successful support of a dispute on recovery of unjust enrichment in the amount of over 80 million rubles from a Russian foundry in favor of an international company manufacturing pumping equipment. The adviser succeeded in proving that the purchasing plant had committed a material breach of the supply agreement, which resulted in the plant incurring debts in the form of unpaid equipment, penalties and interest totaling more than 100 million rubles.
  • Support of more than 20 court cases on disputes arising out of leasing agreements related to the identification of balances and debt collection in the interests of a well-known leasing company for a total amount of more than 450 million rubles.
